FLOWERS AND THEIR VASE LIFE

Deciding which FMA sensor to apply

For cut flowers the shelf life is determined by the temperature at which the flowers have been packed, transported, stored and displayed . Higher temperatures during the first stages can be tightly controlled.

Displaying the flowers at store conditions decreases the remaining vase life of the product. Products should be discounted when it reaches the half vase life time to still provide the consumer with a positive experience.
